Dr. Jacques P. Tremblay received a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California at San Diego in 1974. Since that time, he has been at Laval University as a postdoctoral researcher, Professor and Director of the Department of Anatomy. He is currently Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine. He has published over 282 scientific articles on hereditary diseases. He has worked specifically on myoblast transplantation as a treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. For the last 3 years he also worked on gene correction with the CRISPR/Cas9 technology for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Friedreich's Ataxia and Alzheimer’s disease

Segundo Mesa Castillo. As Specialist in Neurology, he worked for 10 years in the Institute of Neurology of Havana, Cuba. He has worked in Electron Microscopic Studies on Schizophrenia for 32 years. He was awarded with the International Price of the Stanley Foundation Award Program and for the Professional Committee to work as a fellowship position in the Laboratory of the Central Nervous System Studies, National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke under Dr. Joseph Gibbs for a period of 6 months, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, Washington D.C. USA, June 5, 1990. At present he is member of the Scientific Board of the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana and give lectures to residents in psychiatry

Vikas Kundra, M.D., Ph.D. is Professor and Director of Molecular Imaging in the Department of Radiology, U.T.-M.D. Anderson Cancer Center with joint appointment in the Department of Cancer Systems Imaging. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Harvard Medical School/University. His clinical and research residency and fellowship were at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He practices as a clinical radiologist focused on body imaging. He is a Fellow of the Society of Body Computed Tomography-Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Distinguished Investigator of the Academy of Radiology Research. He has had multiple clinical and basic/translational science papers and grants. Basic/translational research focus is on imaging of gene expression, therapy response, imagable models of disease, and nanoparticles.
